Aux Etats-Unis la majorité de ces chansons héritées de la seconde guerre mondiale ont un ton patriotique teinté de naïveté. Vous remarquerez que beaucoup de ces chanteurs sont célèbres tels que Gene Autry, Jimmie Osborne, Elton Britt et les frères Delmore. La première chanson est intitulée « Korean Mud » par Elton Britt

Dans cette chanson un peu guimauve l’artiste incite ses compatriotes à aller donner leur sang pour sauver la vie des soldats blessés en Corée.

La deuxième chanson est intitulée « Heartbreak Ridge » par The Delmore Brothers

Dans cette chanson patriotique qui évoque la bataille héroïque de Crèvecoeur, un soldat adresse quelques mots à sa mère pour lui dire la dureté des combats contre les forces communistes. Il évoque son camarade de quartier qui est mort dans les combats… Cette chanson patriotique est également un peu guimauve (les américains diraient Cheezy). Pourtant, on ne reste pas insensible à la mélodie. On a un peu l’impression d’écouter une chanson tirée du film des frères Coen O Brother, Where Art Thou ?

La troisième chanson est intitulée « Korea blues » par J.B. Lenoir

B. Lenoir était un guitariste et chanteur de blues inspiré de la tradition rurale du Delta du Mississippi). Il possède une voix haute perchée, très facilement identifiable.
